SENECA LAKE

Rooster Fish Brewing is at the south end of Seneca Lake - the largest and deepest of the Finger Lakes. It's also one of the deepest lakes in the entire country.

The Seneca Lake Wine Trail, founded in 1986, is a community of "over 30 wineries, a distillery, several breweries and hard cider producers and a meadery" - Rooster Fish Brewing was gladly included in that list as a festive and locally crucial part of the Wine Trail.

Over 50 wineries call the area around Seneca Lake home, due to our nutritious terroir that resembles that of the finest of French vineyards.

We claim no small amount of fame from our excellent trout fishing and the use of our waters for testing Naval equipment - both aided by the extreme depth of the lake.

Watkins Glen, NY

Watkins Glen is the site of scenic Watkins Glen State Park, but is probably best known for its role in auto racing at the famous Watkins Glen International race track. We also boast a long history of amazing concert venues and performances, from The Grateful Dead to Phish. We're also just a stone's throw from some of the most beautiful natural hiking in the state - let alone the country!

Watkins Glen State Park

Watkins Glen State Park is the most famous of the Finger Lakes State Parks, with a reputation for leaving visitors spellbound. Within two miles, the glen's stream descends 400 feet past 200-foot cliffs, generating 19 waterfalls along its course. The gorge path winds over and under waterfalls and through the spray of Cavern Cascade. Rim trails overlook the gorge. Campers and day-visitors can enjoy the Olympic-size pool, scheduled summer tours through the gorge, tent and trailer campsites, picnic facilities and excellent fishing in nearby Seneca Lake or Catherine Creek, which is renowned for its annual spring run of rainbow trout.
